Community Notice: Dock at Gates Lake Park to be removed

Please be advised that the dock at Gates Lake Community Park will be removed on Thursday, May 21 due to safety concerns. The dock, located on Crown Land, will not be replaced as the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District has not received approval from CN Rail for access to the waterfront. 

Mark Strahl, MP for Chilliwack - Fraser Canyon and John Weston, MP for West Vancouver - Sunshine Coast - Sea to Sky Country, will be attending the May 21, 2015 meeting of the SLRD Board to discuss the safe rail crossing at Gate Lake and to receive the request for assistance in advocating with CN Rail for a legal crossing of the railway tracks.
