The Squamish-Lillooet Regional District currently owns and operates eight community water systems located throughout the Regional District. The SLRD strives to ensure that a secure and reliable source of safe, high-quality drinking water is provided to residents within the SLRD water systems.

The SLRD submits water samples for bacteriological (pathogens, bacteria) and chemical (metals, pH, alkalinity) analysis per a schedule set by the local health authority and reflected within our operating permits. The frequency of testing varies depending on the system – treatment process, water demand, age of system.
